It’s really kind of sad how many cosplay projects I’ve put on hold. I do have plans to finish a couple of these though!
Rikku should be done for Otakon
Launch should be done for Kamikon
Annie might be done by Kamikon?
Meg and Belle are up in the air. Meg, I scrapped what I did have done, I’ve been on the hunt for different fabric and I’ve been coming up empty handed for a while now. And Belle, I don’t really have any cons planned that would be a good location to wear her so I might just hold off until Katsucon next year.
A lot of the times I’ll put my projects on hold due to not finding what I need to create the look I’m going for. Other times, it’s due to location and if I’ll be able to move about in the costume or be comfortable in it for that specific con.
But one thing is for sure, I haven’t forgotten about these costumes! (This is sort of why I shy away from planning groups. I don’t always, actually I almost never, have time to complete projects on time. -_-; )
Tutorial: Biast Tape Trim via Hong Kong Finish
Click here to view this tutorial!
If you have a project where you want to put double folded bias tape at the edge of your coat or neck line or sleeves or whatever, but don’t want to top stitch the entire bias tape down or spend the hours hand stitching a back seam? Then this tutorial is for you!
The Hong Kong Finish is a semi-hidden seam finish that can be used on bias tape to make a clean seam on your front, while using tight stitching of similar colors to hide away a back stitch. Much faster than hand stitching and still gives you a much cleaner finish than top stitching!
OMFG I cannot believe just talented people are. Last time, I posted another version of this song, it’s basically an instrumental and people can come up with how they want to sing it (believe me, a tune can sound very different with the same instrumental) and write their own lyrics. OMG I am in love with this version too!
It’s a contest for the Qin’s Moon game theme.
OMG It sounds beautiful! Thanks for the share! :D
